BEETLE HOUSE! BEETLE HOUSE! BEETLE HOUSE!
…and magically we were transported to New York City…
and the coolest themed bar in the East Village!!
This Tim Burton themed bar was an absolute must-do for a fan like me of Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Batman (I’m talking the 1988 original guys)…and countless other classics!!

Now on to the good stuff…
Getting My Drink On at Beetle House!!
1st Drink: The ‘This is Halloween’
?Boys and girls of every age wouldn’t you like to see something strange?!??
It’s the This is Halloween Drink!!
A concoction made of Fireball, Sour Apple, Pumpkin Liqueur, and Apple Cider it was very tasty…
and a great start to the night!
2nd Drink: The ‘Glen or Glenda’
This one had a bite!
Poisons and Elixirs are right!!
A mixture of Tequila(yowza 😯 ), Mango, Lime, Agave Syrup, and Chipotle Powder.
This drink was really good until that chipotle kicks you in the throat!!
This drink is aptly named for sure!!
(See Tim Burton’s Ed Wood if you’re not catching the reference)
3rd Drink: ‘The Beetle’s Juice’
Of course, we had to order The Beetle’s Juice at Beetle House!!
This one was my absolute favorite of the night!!
Tequila(again, really?!), Muddled Blackberry…I didn’t even realize I liked muddled blackberry and Cranberry Juice.
I was feeling the buzz!
4th Drink: The ‘Barnabus Collins’
Another play on a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp collaboration…
and another favorite movie of mine…Dark Shadows!
This one was my other favorite of the night.
Rye Whiskey, Brown Sugar, Peychaud Bitters, Chocolate Bitters and garnished with an orange wedge…
doesn’t sound like the greatest mixture but it was delicious.
Of course, by this point, my buzz was going strong and we were singing along to
?jump in de line, rock your body in time, OK, I believe you!!?
Oh yeah, the music in Beetle House was on point!
Now for drink number 5!…oooooh girl, you better stop…
5th Drink: The ‘Chocolate Chocolate Martini’
To seal the deal we decided to end the night with a dessert cocktail.
What better dessert cocktail than a Willy Wonka themed drink!!
The Chocolate Chocolate Martini!!
I would have swam in this Chocolate Chocolate Martini for sure!
Did you guys know?!? The Chocolate River sequence in Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was actually 192,000 gallons of faux melted chocolate.
Tim Burton wanted the river to look more realistic than the “distasteful” river from the first movie.
Nine different shade of chocolate were tested before he picked the perfect one!!
How awesome is that?!
Other Beetle House Offerings:
Beetle House does offer a full menu of entrees and appetizers but we had arrived after the kitchen closed so we made it a night of fun drinks!!
There is also a Beetle House on the West Coast in Los Angeles and yes I plan on going there too!!

What’s your favorite Tim Burton film?!?
Let me know in the comments below!!
I’ll leave you guys with my favorite Tim Burton poem:
Her skin is white cloth,
and she’s all sewn apart
and she has many-colored pins
sticking out of her heart.
She has a beautiful set
of hypno-disk eyes,
the ones that she uses
to hypnotize guys.
She has many different zombies
who are deeply in her trance.
She even has a zombie
who was originally from France.
But she knows she has a curse on her,
a curse she cannot win.
For if someone gets
too close to her,
the pins stick farther in.
